Funeral Services

Kent's funeral will be held on Monday, May 19, 2008 at 2:00pm at the Combe Road LDSChurch (6350 S. Combe Road, Ogden, Utah). There will be a viewing on Sunday evening at the same location from 6:00 -8:00pm. There will also be a viewing before the services from 1:00pm to 1:45pm. The funeral arrangements have been taken care of and now it is time to spend time with the family. It is so hard and my heart is so so heavy. Thank goodness for the knowledge that we have of eternal life. We love you all and thanks for all of the prayers and support through this difficult time. Thanks to my daughter, Alison, that there was an entry on the blog last night. She rubbed my feet and put me to bed and then undated the blog. Thanks Ali!!!!

I can't tell you how my heart goes out to you. I am so grateful to a loving Heavenly Father and Savior who have provided us with the comfort of the Holy Ghost. I will pray that you are ever mindful of his presence. You haven't left our thoughts for a minute.

Hi Aunt Sharon or Ali,
Elizabeth here, Mom sent me your blog site info. I have one too. I have it set on Private so I need your e-mail to invite you. My E-mail is Elizabeth_hutson@hotmail.com. Also other family's email would be fun to have to invite as well.

My heart is full of so many emotions concerning Uncle Kents Passing. I am so sorry. I wish I had called weeks earlier when Mom first told me the news. The Ironic thing is that the same week Mom told me, I had a friend ask me to do Team in Training for fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. A few days before Mom's call.

I have been training by myslef to run a Marathon but wanted to run for a cause. The frightening thing is that the minimal amount to raise would be 3900 dollars. It seems to me to be a tall order. But after hearing Uncle Kents News I really want to give it my all and try. I want to run in his Honor. I really wish I had called when I first thought of doing this. I was going to call today to ask not knowing the current situation. I wish I could have aksed him myself.

I have family in the Nothern Utah area. I am playing with the idea of making the voyage up. Alissa is on track break from year round school but John isn't. It would be me and my kids.Anyways Our prayers are with you all and we love you!

We're thinking of you Sharon, your family, and Kent's. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and know that Heavenly Father is watching over you and giving you peace in your hearts. Kent was such a good man and he was so good to Dave and thoughtful to all, he will be sorely missed. Take good care of yourself and let those who want to do things for you do them. We love you Sharon.

Hey Aunt Sharon I set up a site to run in Uncle Kent's Honor. Here is the link http://www.active.com/donate/tntsonv/tntsonvEDover.
Forward it on to whomever you like.
I wish I could have been there with my family, and Dad and Aunt Eva at the funeral services. I am sure we all were there in spirit and thought. I know I am.
Love you all!

Sharon,
this is audra (ali's ea roommate)I am so, so sorry to hear of Kent's passing. How blessed you were to have each other for this time that you did. I'm sure it is calming to know that he is free of any pain & that you will be with him again. I was telling alison that i am recently hearing of many family, friends and others who are passing away very suddenly and am convinced that there must be a great need right now for some stalwart and strong souls to do work on the other side. How honorable to know that your husband is one of those. Our PRAYERS are with you and your family at this time. What a sweet daughter you have..i can just picture Ali rubbing your feet as you fell asleep. I love her!
